Miami to expand Paddock Club hospitality with new extension overlooking Turn 1, making it one of the largest in Formula 1

South Florida Motorsports, promoter of the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX, has revealed plans to elevate its premium hospitality offering with a significant expansion of its Paddock Club building, adding a spectacular new 115,000 square foot extension ahead of the 2027 race.

Following the introduction of a permanent Paddock Club structure in 2023, the new building represents a continued investment in delivering one of the most luxurious and immersive race weekend experiences on the Formula 1 calendar. News of the extension was revealed by Tom Garfinkel, Managing Partner of the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX, speaking at the Autosport Business Forum (ABX Miami) earlier this week.

Stretching from the start/finish straight toward Turn 1, the expanded structure will offer spectacular views as the cars charge off the starting grid and sweep through the opening corner. The expanded design will also provide viewing of Turns 2 and 3. Sections of the three-storey building will introduce tiered seating, offering guests a premier viewing experience within a luxury hospitality setting. Including the rooftop, the expansion will increase total Paddock Club capacity to approximately 9,200 guests and 305,000 square feet of hospitality space.

Guests will also benefit from improved access, with enhanced ingress and egress, ensuring a seamless journey throughout race weekend.

Tom Garfinkel, Managing Partner of the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX, said:

“The expansion of our Paddock Club is another example of innovation and investment in our event and growing Formula 1 in the United States. We wanted to not only make the Paddock Club bigger to meet demand, but differentiate the experience into something new and unique.”

Construction of the new extension will be conducted in partnership with HOK+ROSSETTI, a design company with a recognised track record of sports and entertainment venues. This project builds on a long history of success between the two organisations, as they previously served as lead architect for the various upgrades to Hard Rock Stadium, including the design of the Miami Open tennis tournament, as well as the nearby Miami Dolphins’ Baptist Health Training Complex.

The 2026 SVB LIVE Conference & Exhibition – with a focus on elevating the live experience through pillars including Hospitality & Premium Experience – is being hosted at Everton’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium on October 1st and 2nd, with an Opening Night Icebreaker at Liverpool FC’s Anfield stadium on September 30th.

The Paddock Club extension also establishes a permanent, year-round home for Precision Drive Club (PDC), further embedding the exclusive members’ club as a cornerstone of the Miami International Autodrome. Dedicated facilities will include a workshop with direct access to the pit lane, in addition to coaching and simulator labs, race control, a private members’ lounge, and meeting rooms. A permanent kitchen will support PDC’s culinary program, with offerings from a selection of renowned restaurant partners, continuing to elevate and expand the dining experience that has helped define Precision Drive Club since its launch in 2024.

The new Paddock Club expansion underscores South Florida Motorsports’ ongoing commitment to innovation and investment, ensuring the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX continues to set the benchmark as one of the most premium races on the World Championship calendar.

This announcement comes as the FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX enters its fifth year and one year after Formula 1 and South Florida Motorsports announced an extension through 2041, making it the longest agreement for any race on the calendar at the time. South Florida Motorsports has twice been named Promoter of the Year – by Formula 1 following the 2024 season and by the prestigious Autosport Awards following the 2025 season.
