Rangers unveil new Club 72 and Blue Sky Lounge

Scottish Premier League side, Rangers Football Club, has announced two exciting upgrades to its hospitality lounges at Ibrox Stadium to be completed ahead of the club’s 150th anniversary season in 2021/22.

The renovations have been re-scheduled from Summer 2020 to Summer 2021 due to the restrictions of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and will form a key part of the wider Project 2022 upgrades being developed at Ibrox. Further plans on Rangers’ Project 2022 strategy are set to be communicated by the Club during the year.

The Blue Sky Lounge sets a new standard for sports hospitality in Scotland and will offer one of the finest panoramic pitch views in European football stretching the length of the Sandy Jardine stand with an increased capacity of premium seats and with theatre-style live cooking.

Currently Bar 72, Club 72 will retain its celebratory theme from Rangers’ famous 1972 European Cup Winners Cup victory in Barcelona, whilst revolutionising the lounges into modern sports bars, with a contemporary casual dining experience, alongside state-of-the art screens and technology.

Rangers Football Club’s Commercial & Marketing Director, James Bisgrove, commented:

In anticipation of our 150th anniversary, investment in our premium offering is core to our strategy in providing a truly world-class hospitality experience at Ibrox. As the world’s most successful football club, we firmly believe in setting the standard within Scottish sport, both on and off the field.

A best-in-class guest experience will be at the centre of both Club 72 and the Blue Sky Lounge. We are proud that these significant upgrades will represent the pinnacle of sports hospitality experiences in Scotland.

Both new lounges will be available initially to the existing corporate clients of Argyle House Suite and the Bar 72 season ticket holders in the form of Founding Member packages and will thereafter open for general enquiries later in the year.
