MyVenue named as Official POS Technology Provider of the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium

Stadium and arena point of sale (POS) specialists, MyVenue, continue their North American expansion as they are named the Official POS Technology Provider of the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium – home of the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.

Kim Rometo, Miami Dolphins Vice President & Chief Information Officer, said:

MyVenue was selected because their scalable solution offers Hard Rock Stadium maximum flexibility to accommodate all events, including the Miami Dolphins, Miami Open, Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix and outdoor concerts.

Rometo continued:

MyVenue was also able to customise cashier displays and customer interfaces, which maximises efficiency and accuracy.

David Brooks, MyVenue Chief Operating Officer, said:

In total, 1375 terminals across premium, suites and concessions will operate on MyVenue’s cloud-based POS software. This includes 650 newly deployed fixed and mobile POS devices, and a further 725 existing terminals transitioned to the MyVenue solution.

The project follows a successful low-risk, low-cost pilot at Hard Rock Stadium that demonstrated MyVenue’s fast, robust, and easy-to-use design. Its impressive average credit card transaction approval of 3 seconds helps reduce queues and wait times, allowing fans to spend longer in their seats enjoying the game.

Brooks added:

Our native offline redundancy protection, including the ‘store-and-forward’ technology, allows servers to continue making credit card sales even if power, WiFi or gateway / acquiring networks fail.

As the MyVenue solution powers Hard Rock Stadium’s food & beverage sales at upcoming major events, MyVenue really is changing the game.
