SKIDATA, Inc. announces partnership with University of Arkansas – the first University Stadium Access Control Project in the U.S.

SKIDATA’s newest stadium access control project with the University of Arkansas marks a great milestone for the company that already boasts a long list of professional sports team stadiums including Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Hard Rock Stadium and Banc of California Stadium. This is not only the first University Stadium project in the U.S., but also the first install in the state of Arkansas for SKIDATA’s event access control business segment.

The University of Arkansas was looking for a state-of-the-art solution that would provide flexibility. SKIDATA’s pedestal-mounted readers proved to be exactly what they were looking for. Using rechargeable lithium batteries and wireless networking functionality, the gates are completely portable and modular.

The 55 Flex.Gate pedestal-mounted readers are being used along with 10 handheld scanners and 20 SKIDATA Suite Readers (SKIDATA’s newest product offering) to control access and entry throughout the Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. These turnstiles can be moved at any time to the Bud Walton Arena for basketball games or to Baum Stadium for baseball games. This flexibility prevented the need for permanent installations and unnecessary quantities of gates that would otherwise be left unused in the off-season.

SKIDATA’s full-service events management software provides the modern convenience of e-ticketing, as well as print-at-home and standard ticket compatibility through an integration with Paciolan.

The University has shown their excitement for this advanced access control system by filming promo videos of their mascot demonstrating how easy the system is for fans to use!
