VENUE INTRODUCTION:

The Genting Arena is the Midlands’ outstanding entertainment experience for artists and visitors alike. As one of the world’s top entertainment arenas, it has hosted the world’s best comedians, sportspeople, singers, songwriters, dancers, daredevils and everything in between since 1980. Whether it’s the year’s hottest gig in the company of 15,700 fans, or an intimate, atmospheric, once-in-a-lifetime experience, audiences find it all at the Genting Arena.

With unrivalled connectivity by road, rail and air, the Genting Arena sits at the heart of the NEC campus just outside Birmingham city centre. The Arena was renamed in January 2015 and complements Genting UK’s neighbouring development – Resorts World Birmingham – a GBP£150m leisure and entertainment complex, which adds value to the existing Arena offer.

Boasting a flexible arena bowl, the venue can be dressed to accommodate intimate academy events for around 4,588, or hold a total capacity of 15,685. With over 100 shows per year, welcoming over 700,000 people through its doors, the Genting Arena continues to provide world-class entertainment.

As well as great live shows, the Genting Arena is all about giving visitors ‘more than just the main event’. The venue boasts an innovative pre and post-show entertainment area, Forum Live, which goes from strength to strength. It is also the start of the venue’s great merchandise offer. In fact, the Genting Arena is one of the most profitable arenas in the UK for merchandise.
