The ALSD (Association of Luxury Suite Directors) has launched the ‘ALSD Spotlight’, its first annual design contest and print publication aimed at giving venues, architects and others in the business a chance to show off their best and brightest accomplishments.
ALSD Chairman, Bill Dorsey, said:
The venue marketplace is exploding with growth, and we want to recognise those making that happen and celebrate what they are doing in creating such beautiful and unique experiences.
The Association will be publishing the ALSD Spotlight in the summer of 2017. This special print edition will be filled with photography of best-in-breed spaces and design accomplishments in the venue marketplace.
The top highlights, as determined by a panel of select judges – including Brad Mayne CFE, President & CEO, IAVM, Russ Simons, Chief Listening Officer & Managing Partner at Venue Solutions Group, LLC, and Sports Venue Business’ CEO & Founder, Katie McIntyre – will be given the most premium treatment in the publication and will be announced at the 2017 ALSD Conference and Tradeshow in Miami as part of the Sports Venue Design & Build Forum.
The Association is also encouraging their many friends from performing arts centres to enter as well and they will be considered equally alongside their sports-centred counterparts.
In an effort to share the spotlight with the entire community, the ALSD will feature all relevant submissions across the web and on their social media outlets throughout 2017.
Ten main categories have been selected to be considered by the judges, covering everything from suites to experiences outside the venue walls, to food and beverage offerings.
Entry is free, and as simple as submitting photos and a text description or press release online.
Dorsey added:
ALSD is excited to share our stage with great innovators, both at our 2017 Conference & Tradeshow, as well as through our media platforms.
The 27th annual ALSD Conference & Tradeshow including the Sports Venue Design and Build Forum will take place from July 10-13, 2017 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. For more information on the event, visit: www.ALSD.com
