Key milestones were highlighted including the 75% construction progress of Yas Bay Arena, which will be operated by Flash Entertainment and is due to open in 2020.

Designed to attract some of the biggest names in music and entertainment to Yas Island, the iconic Yas Bay Arena is a new state-of-the-art multi-purpose venue with a capacity of 18,000 guests, a first for Abu Dhabi.

Yas Bay Arena has been designed to offer an intimate, highly flexible and efficient venue with excellent acoustics, which can be used year-round for sports and entertainment events.

A fully covered indoor arena with adjustable configuration, Yas Bay Arena will be able to accommodate events with a capacity ranging from 200 guests all the way up to 18,000 guests, from world-class concerts and performances, to sporting events, MICE, and community gatherings.

Premium spaces include a VIP lounge that can be transformed into a grand ballroom for events, hospitality boxes and unique terrace bars for receptions and parties.

Yas Bay Arena will form a landmark focal point for the Yas Bay waterfront destination, and its striking gleaming-gold design combined with the very latest sustainable technologies has earnt it the Sustainable Building Design of the Year at the MENA Green Building Awards 2018, a testimony to Miral’s commitment to create and build projects that are recognised as sustainable and environmentally-friendly.
