Zadie’s will join Medlock Square as one of its most exciting new openings, bringing an intimate restaurant and bar concept to Manchester’s newest entertainment destination. Set above the square, Zadie’s will offer a glamorous space where day seamlessly blends into night, combining high-end Pan-Asian dining with bold, boundary-pushing cocktails and late-night entertainment.
Launching this year, Zadie’s will be a vibrant addition to the district — always on, always evolving, and designed to become a cornerstone of Medlock Square’s after-dark experience. This exciting new space will be available for Manchester City’s Premier League game against Coventry City at the Etihad Stadium on September 5th.
The venue will be led by Laura Montana, a renowned restaurateur behind globally celebrated concepts including Sexy Fish, alongside projects such as Monkey Bar in Manhattan, created with hospitality figure Jeremy King and former Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter.
Montana is joined by Head Chef Paolo Bianchi (Zuma, Alain Ducasse, Lucky Cat, Les Grandes Alpes Courchevel 1850) and Head of Bars Cressida Lawlor (Sexy Fish, Ego Death, CODE T100 Women in Hospitality), whose combined expertise will shape menus designed to bring Zadie’s dynamic energy to life.
The 2026 SVB LIVE Conference & Exhibition – focused on elevating the live experience across sports and entertainment – is being hosted at Everton FC’s spectacular new Hill Dickinson Stadium, Oct 1st and 2nd, with an Opening Night Icebreaker at Liverpool FC’s iconic Anfield Stadium on Sept 30th.

Laura Montana said:
“I’m delighted to be leading this incredible project — Zadie’s is the culmination of years of ideas, inspiration and detail gathered from across the world. I’ve recently moved to Manchester and it’s a city full of energy and momentum — it feels like the perfect home for what we’re creating.”
Zadie’s has been designed in collaboration with internationally renowned hospitality studio Gorgeous Group, led by Manchester-born Robbie Bargh. Known for delivering globally inspired dining and hotel concepts, the studio has previously collaborated with leading operators including Dishoom and Six Senses.
Robbie Bargh said:
“It’s incredibly special to be part of this project, particularly in my home city. At Gorgeous Group, we aim to create spaces that evoke emotion and desire — and Zadie’s is full of both. It’s bold, playful and full of personality — exactly the kind of experience that belongs at Medlock Square.”
As part of a broader collection of restaurants, bars, a hotel and event spaces, Zadie’s will play a key role in shaping Medlock Square as a new focal point for Manchester’s world-class food, drink and entertainment scene — further strengthening the city’s reputation as a global destination for culture and nightlife.
