Capital One Arena transformation continues with United Globe Club + Lounge

Monumental Sports & Entertainment, and its official global airline partner, United Airlines, have announced plans for the launch of the United Globe Club℠ and United Globe Lounge℠ at Capital One Arena. This groundbreaking new multi-level, all-inclusive premium seating and hospitality destination will redefine the VIP experience for fans in the national capital region.

As the D.C. region’s largest airline, United will offer unique experiences to United® MileagePlus® members. They will have the ability to access the United Globe Club and Lounge with select game ticket packages that will be available through MileagePlus Exclusives.

The VIP experience, which will debut in the latter half of 2025, will feature the United Globe Club and Lounge. These two state-of-the-art spaces are designed to offer unparalleled access, luxury and service to the most exclusive ticket holders for the NHL’s Washington Capitals, NBA’s Washington Wizards and the world-class concerts and special events that take place at Capital One Arena in downtown Washington, D.C.

Spanning a total of more than 24,000 square feet of hospitality space, this luxury experience will offer a variety of elevated amenities and personalised services, delivering a premium environment to enhance every event.

Amenities available to all United Globe Club and Lounge ticket holders include:

  • Exclusive Point of Entry: Coming in 2026, Capital One Arena will feature a new member-only executive entrance located on 6th Street for seamless access to each of the new clubs.
  • VIP Welcome Lobby: Each VIP guest will be greeted upon arrival by a dedicated concierge team with a personal service touch on multiple levels of the club.
  • Curated Food and Beverage: United Globe Club and Lounge will offer a completely revamped culinary experience for each event featuring world-class dining and dynamic service.
  • Experiential Gathering Spaces: Members will have access to exclusive spaces including show kitchens, unique food and beverage displays, and celebrity chef experiences.
  • Top-of-the-Line Hospitality: VIP guests receive exclusive access to the new “Monumental Premier” membership benefits and concierge services program for Capitals and Wizards full season ticket members.

In addition, each of the new hospitality spaces will provide a one-of-a-kind VIP experience and their own unique look and feel for various events:

United Globe Club 

With space for more than 800 guests, the United Globe Club will be the most expansive of the new hospitality spaces at the transformed Capital One Arena, offering more than 16 square feet of space per guest at full capacity. The club will feature exclusive space for guests across two levels and will provide access to a dynamic new dining experience, as well as complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks for all Capitals and Wizards VIP seat holders.

The United Globe Club will be 30% larger than any existing hospitality space at the current arena.

United Globe Lounge

Exclusive to Wizards Courtside Row AAA seat holders and Capitals Row A seats on the glass, the United Globe Lounge will only be available to 150 guests per event, providing one of the most spacious, luxurious premium hospitality experiences in any arena nationwide.

In addition to the District’s elevated sports and entertainment scene with these new arena experiences, new enhancements are also coming to D.C. travellers as a new 435,000-square-foot concourse is under construction at United’s hub in Washington Dulles International Airport that is set to open in 2026.

SVB LIVE events focus on elevating the live experience through architecture & design, customer journey, fan & VIP experience, hospitality & fit-out, premium sales & service, sustainability, technology and venue commercialisation.

Last month, MSE announced United Airlines as the organisation’s Official Global Airline Partner, a first-of-its-kind title within MSE that includes branding and integration opportunities across the organisation’s teams, venues and Monumental Sports Network (MNMT). The multiyear, exclusive relationship will span the entire MSE enterprise to help bring an enhanced fan experience to the community and unique activations for fans including VIP experiences through United’s MileagePlus Exclusives.

As part of the deal, MSE also named United as the first Founding Partner in the transformation of Capital One Arena. In October, Mayor Bowser and MSE announced the introduction of legislation supporting the public-private partnership for a full transformation of Capital One Arena. The three-year, $800+ million arena transformation is expected to be completed in time for the 2027-28 season.
