EFL League One club Stevenage FC have announced SPORTA as the club’s new principal stadium partner, with the team’s home officially becoming the SPORTA Arena.
Stevenage FC said this 10-year partnership marks another significant milestone in the club’s continued development, bringing together two organisations that share a commitment to innovation, ambition, and development within the local community.
The ground was formerly known as Broadhall Way.
SPORTA’s vision aligns closely with Stevenage FC’s own ambitions both on and off the pitch.
SPORTA, founded by Andrew Smith, previously co-founder of ClearBank, is building the financial home for sport – dedicated financial and digital infrastructure designed around the real needs of clubs, players, fans and communities.
The 2026 SVB LIVE Conference & Exhibition – focused on elevating the live experience – is being hosted at Everton FC’s new Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool, UK, Oct 1st and 2nd, with an Opening Night Icebreaker at Liverpool FC’s iconic Anfield Stadium, Sept 30th.
Stevenage FC is SPORTA’s flagship football partner, and the town is where their journey in the game begins.
The partnership reflects the club’s long-term strategy of aligning with forward-thinking organisations that share its ambition to build a sustainable future while continuing to enhance every aspect of the supporter experience.
Phil Wallace, Chairman of Stevenage FC, said:
“We’re delighted to officially welcome SPORTA to the Stevenage FC family and to announce the SPORTA Arena as the new home of our football club.
“This is far more than a naming rights agreement. From our very first conversations it was clear that SPORTA shared our vision, our ambition and our desire to make a positive impact beyond football.
“As our club continues to evolve, it is important that we work with partners who genuinely believe in what we are building. SPORTA is exactly that type of partner, and we look forward to developing an exciting relationship together over the coming years.”
Andrew Smith, CEO and Founder of SPORTA, said:
“Stevenage FC is exactly the kind of Club that shows why SPORTA exists. It is ambitious, innovative, community-led and built around people who care deeply about the Club and the town it represents.
“This is a long-term partnership about working with Stevenage FC to understand the financial and operational needs of a modern football Club operating in an evolving and often fragmented ecosystem.
“To launch that partnership in the Club’s 50th anniversary year, and to see it come to life through SPORTA Arena, is a proud moment for us. Our role is to support the Club, including players, fans, and community and grassroots initiatives as Stevenage writes the next chapter of its story.”
Supporters will begin to see the new SPORTA Arena branding introduced across the stadium, digital platforms and club communications over the coming weeks as Stevenage FC enters an exciting new chapter alongside our newest principal partner.
