Olympique de Marseille’s Stade Vélodrome gets new name

Olympique de Marseille’s Stade Vélodrome is set to become the CEPAC Vélodrome after the French Ligue 1 club agreed a naming rights deal with bank Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC.

The pair have signed a seven-year naming rights agreement for the Stade Vélodrome, one of the most iconic venues in Marseille and in French sport.

This landmark agreement powerfully reaffirms one of the most enduring partnerships in French sport, bringing together two iconic institutions that have shared the same commitment to the city of Marseille, its people and its influence for 40 years.

Since 1986, without interruption, Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC has supported Olympique de Marseille in its development and through the defining moments of its history.

This unwavering commitment was further strengthened in 2022 with the support extended to Les Marseillaises, the OM women’s team.

Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC has now chosen to go one step further in its support and to link its brand to the iconic Vélodrome, which will become, from 2 July onwards, the CEPAC Vélodrome.

The 2026 SVB LIVE Conference & Exhibition – focused on elevating the live experience – is being hosted at Everton FC’s spectacular new Hill Dickinson Stadium on October 1st and 2nd, with an Opening Night Icebreaker at Liverpool FC’s iconic Anfield Stadium on September 30th.

This strengthened alliance between Olympique de Marseille and Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC is fully in line with the vision held by the club and its owner: to continue its global development and international reach while staying true to its identity and its local roots.

Beyond Olympique de Marseille matches, the stadium is also a major stage in the life of Marseille, hosting major cultural, community and sporting events every year, organised by Mars 360, Olympique de Marseille’s events arm.

By supporting a venue that contributes to the attractiveness of the region and generates economic value, Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC, as the leading funder of the regional economy, proudly embodies its role as a community bank.

Christine Fabresse, Chair of the Management Board of Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC, said:

“For forty years, Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC has been part of Olympique de Marseille’s story. Today, by associating our name with the Vélodrome, we are doing far more than taking the next step: we are affirming, with pride and conviction, our unshakeable attachment to Marseille, to its energy, its identity and its future. The Vélodrome is not just a stadium.

“It is a place of passion, memory, culture and togetherness. It is a symbol that makes the heart of an entire region beat. In becoming the CEPAC Vélodrome, it embodies more than ever the alliance of two institutions that share the same loyalty to Marseille and the same ambition for its future.”

Stéphane Richard, Chairman of Olympique de Marseille, said:

“Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC’s commitment alongside us for forty years commands the utmost respect. In choosing today to associate its name with the Vélodrome for the next seven years, it is sending a powerful signal: one of trust, loyalty and a shared ambition for the future of Olympique de Marseille.

“This agreement speaks to something rare and precious: the ability of a club and a major economic player in their region to move forward together, over the long term, driven by the same attachment to Marseille and the same desire to make it shine.”

Benoît Payan, Mayor of Marseille, added:

“The City of Marseille is delighted that a longstanding local partner is committing to the wonderful adventure that is Olympique de Marseille. Our stadium is the symbol and the pride of our city: it is a treasure belonging to the people of Marseille.”
