Stockholm’s Gasometer, a one-of-a-kind experiential arena set to open in 2027, has announced a long-term partnership with Chef of the Year (Årets Kock). It is the first structured venue collaboration in the Swedish professional culinary arts championship’s history.
The partnership supports Gasometer’s ambition to make gastronomy a core part of the venue’s overall experience. Together, the organisations will set a long-term culinary direction focused on quality, craftsmanship and consistent delivery across restaurants, bars, and a wide range of event formats. As an official Chef of the Year partner, Gasometer will benefit from the organisation’s expertise, development support and network of top-tier chefs.
Satu Andersson, CEO of Gasometer, said:
“The food and beverage we offer patrons at Gasometer must rival the quality of everything else we do. Teaming with Chef of the Year gives us access to a long-term, structured partner, as well as a direct line to Sweden’s deepest bench of culinary talent. This will be essential when pursuing a project of this scale.”
Chef of the Year will spearhead the process of appointing Gasometer’s Creative Executive Chef, selected exclusively from previous title winners. Known for Sweden’s national professional chef championship, the organisation also works year-round with talent development and knowledge sharing across the entire restaurant industry.
The 2026 SVB LIVE Conference & Exhibition – with a focus on elevating the live experience through pillars including Hospitality and Premium Experience – is being hosted at Everton’s spectacular new Hill Dickinson Stadium on October 1st and 2nd. An Opening Night Icebreaker is taking place at Anfield on September 30th, with a tour of M&S Bank Arena’s new premium spaces planned.

Helene Kugelberg, CEO of Chef of the Year, said:
“Gasometer aims to make gastronomy more than merely an afterthought, but rather a central part of the experience. With that level of ambition, this partnership was an obvious fit.”
Gasometer is being evolved as a destination for large-scale experiences in Stockholm, where performing arts, technology and gastronomy converge. The partnership is a step toward building a food and beverage offering that works across multiple formats – from restaurants and bars to galas, events and in-house productions – with gastronomy serving as a draw in its own right.
Gasometer opens in 2027.
