Co-op Live’s premium suites are transforming the live music experience. The suites are selling in record time, with over half already sold and Manchester-based businesses leading the charge.
Bruntwood, Vita Group, DSG Finance, and luxury-jeweller Boodles, are some of the first to take up suites at Manchester’s newest arena, Co-op Live.
Developer Oak View Group (OVG) expects the new 23,500 capacity venue – set to open in December 2023 – to be sold out two years ahead of opening.
Co-op, the venue’s naming rights partner, has one of the two large suites.
New viewing experience
Designed by global architecture giants Populous, with both artists and fans in mind, Co-op Live is creating a live viewing experience that will make attendees feel like they are in Europe’s biggest nightclub.
The venue’s unique compact bowl structure also means suites will be 15 metres closer to the artist than in traditional arenas, bringing guests into the centre of events.
High-level representatives from the Co-op Live, Delaware North, Jump Studios and Populous took part in an insightful panel session on “The Future of Hospitality” during the 2021 hybrid edition of ALSD International, hosted by Liverpool FC.
When shows end, guests will be able to keep the party going until late as the suites are designed to replicate the atmosphere of a luxury house party, with a centre island that brings everyone together.
Richard Hoggart, CEO, DSG Finance, said:
We’re really excited to have secured a suite at Co-op Live.
Co-op Live represents a new level of quality, luxury, and excitement, creating even more opportunities to see the world’s biggest live acts in Manchester. We can’t wait for it to open in 2023.
Becci Thomson, Head of Premium Sales, Co-op Live, said:
Co-op Live is redefining hospitality and entertainment to create an experience for our guests like no other.
Since our launch, the demand has been phenomenal with our unrivalled offering of world-class entertainment combined with luxury and intimate experiences appealing to businesses and individuals across the North West.
The venue, which takes its name from a naming rights partnership with Manchester-based retailer the Co-op, will have a 23,500 capacity and host over 120 events per year.
Built by international arena developer OVG, and with City Football Group (CFG) and Harry Styles as investment partners, Co-op Live will deliver millions in economic impact to the local region, as well as create thousands in new jobs.
Founding partners
Bosses recently announced Bristol Street Motors has signed a major commercial deal, with the car retailer having become a founding partner of the £350m venue.
The partnership will place Bristol Street Motors as the official motor retailer and auto partner for the venue, with exclusive naming rights to a 4,000-capacity space inside Co-op Live now known as ‘The Street’.
Co-op Live is currently under construction and will be opening in December 2023.
