In the latest industry interview, conducted via Zoom, we hear from Bas Schnater, CEO at the Fan Engagement Consultancy and Business Analyst at Mediahuis, who discusses data analytics, the fan experience and fan engagement.
Bas starts off by introducing himself and summarising his career path to date, before moving on to Data Analytics, Fan Experience & Fan Engagement, and how has this trio has evolved over the last decade. He also touches on how these can be used to deliver on a clubs, leagues, venues and federations’ objectives.
Moving onto the challenges at hand, specifically with clubs, leagues and venues having suffered major financial losses due to the pandemic, Bas speaks about the offerings/solutions that can be deployed to help rejuvenate ancillary income on match days.
He also talks about how he foresees the fan experience and fan engagement evolving post-pandemic and what role data analytics will play.
Finally, Bas discusses the upcoming launch of the Data Maturity Model, that he has been working on with industry veteran, Geoff Wilson.
