Exeter Rugby Club extends SecuTix partnership

Off the back of their most successful season to date, Exeter Rugby Club Ltd has signed a new five-year deal with SecuTix. The Club will continue its relationship with the cloud-based ticketing engagement platform, which has been in place since 2017.

After securing a historic Premiership Rugby and European Champions Cup double, the Exeter Chiefs are looking to build on their success both on and off the pitch, ensuring fans remain at the heart of the Club.

Over the last three years, Exeter Rugby Club has worked with SecuTix to support its digital-first strategy and drive the adoption of mobile ticketing.

In 2017, 60% of Exeter’s sales were managed via the back office. Today that figure is 12%, with 88% of sales now conducted online, driving efficiencies across the Club. Pre-pandemic, the Chiefs saw average match-day attendances rise to a new record figure of 12,080.

The Secutix 360° platform is also used to manage the events business at Sandy Park, as well as corporate sales, fan communications, and the popular Tribe Membership scheme.

Natasha Pavis, Managing Director Exeter Rugby Club, said:

SecuTix has played a key role in helping us embrace digital across our entire estate. For the first time, season ticket sales and renewals are now both online, and we are also using the platform to sell a range of other products, from summer rugby camps to pre-booked car parking spaces and away fan travel. These are testing times for UK sport, but SecuTix provides the perfect platform to ensure we deliver excellent experiences off the pitch for our fans.

David Hornby, Managing Director SecuTix UK and Ireland, added:

We are very proud to renew our partnership with such an ambitious club as Exeter. The last three years have seen a digital transformation at the Club. But there’s more we can do together, and with further planned expansion and the new professional women’s team, it’s an exciting time to be part of the Club.
