VIDEO: Mike Bohndiek discusses the 2019 edition of ALSD International

Mike Bohndiek, CEO of PTI Smarter Venues, who was one of the expert speakers at both the 2018 inaugural edition of ALSD International and the latest 2019 issue, discusses the evolution of Europe’s one and only event dedicated to the Premium Seat and Hospitality sector.

The 2019 edition was hosted by Croke Park, with behind-the-scenes tours of 3Arena and Aviva Stadium, a comprehensive conference featuring 50+ top level speakers, an exhibition hall featuring 30+ industry leaders, plus numerous networking events; one of which even included an Irish dance troupe!

ALSD International is organised and delivered by the 30-year-old Association of Luxury Suite Directors (ALSD) in conjunction with Sports Venue Business (SVB), the leading platform for sector news, views & developments worldwide.

Some 270+ high-level industry executives were in attendance at this must-attend event for those involved in the Premium Seat and Hospitality sector, representing stadia & arenas, clubs & venues, leagues & federations, sports & entertainment venues, architecture, design, engineering & fit-out firms, producers & suppliers from across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, the UK and Russia.

Mike said:

I was at the inaugural event in London and that was good but there’s been a marked step change from that to this event. The organisation has culminated in having the right people in the room, having the right conversations, in the right forum.

 

There’s value in the panels and the speakers but also in the networking and the people, and facilitating a conducive environment in which to network is where the big step change was from last year…with the learning almost taking care of itself.
