New hospitality experience ‘Number Nine’ opens at Wembley Stadium

Architecture and design practice, KSS, together with interior fit-out firm, Portview, celebrated the launch of their latest Club Wembley experience, Number Nine, which officially opened at the Home of Football last month.

Named after iconic England’s strikers past and present, ‘Number Nine’ delivers an extraordinary and unique environment that will take members on a sensory and culinary adventure.

Over the years, England have produced some incredible number nines including Sir Bobby Charlton, Alan Shearer, Karen Walker and Harry Kane. The iconic jersey number exudes an aura of class, flair, style and substance, with a bespoke and decorative handcrafted décor throughout this is something the new members’ space at Club Wembley has in abundance.

The entrance to the Number Nine is defined by a suspended ceiling of antique mirror panels, forming the first impression of the dramatic and daring space within. The reception is enclosed with dividing screens that provides only a glimmer of the destination bar behind.

The Number Nine story starts with unique memorabilia and shirts preciously displayed in elegant glass cabinets that double as reception desks. The journey continues through a walkway lined with rotating brass framed mirror panels, a theatrical and playful entrance into the lounge.

The destination bar is the statement feature of Number Nine, with striking colours through the use of hand glazed tiles, a huge touch of glamour provided by brass detailing and a signature brand designed lattice canopy, all elegantly combined to create an extravagant statement.

The real gem of the bar detailing is its flexibility, with the surprising ability to break down into smaller mobile sections for use in a multitude of configurations for other events.

Continuing the flexible and functionality, the food carts and buffet stations are both elegant and refined, allowing the global artisan food displays to be centre stage.

The adventure continues with exotic plants and bold neon graphics that add excitement to the lounge, and the considered origami style gift packaging, all designed by KSS to ensure consistency to the guest experience through every detail.

Working alongside fit-out specialist Portview, Number Nine is the latest addition to the Club Wembley portfolio, continuing the successful hospitality collaboration of KSS and Club Wembley, which started in since 2015 with the One Twenty, and now also includes The Venue, The Arc, Centre Circle, The Lioness and Bobby Moore.
