The Saints unveil new premium and event space

Award-winning sports architecture practice, KSS, has confirmed that it is working with Southampton FC on a wide range of upgrades at St. Mary’s Stadium, including a new pitch-side lounge, improved catering facilities and the refurbishment of the home team changing room.

The new 40-person lounge will be named the 1885 after the year the Club was founded. It will be amongst the top hospitality offers in the stadium and will feature full height glazing offering great views of the pitch and seating bowl, and incorporate historic memorabilia and artefacts into a high quality contemporary interior.

KSS Director, Andy Simons, said:

We are very excited to see how this new lounge offer is received, we think it will be very popular for both match days and conferences.

If 1885 is as successful as we anticipate, then this could be the start of a whole new range of hospitality offers at the club.
