Twickenham’s East Stand shortlisted at Mixology19 awards

Leading sports architecture and design practice, KSS, has announced this week that the East Stand Development at Twickenham Stadium has been shortlisted at the Mixology19 Awards in the category ‘Bar & Leisure Interiors Project of the Year’.

The East Stand Development at Twickenham – the home of England Rugby – includes six new floors creating eight signature food and beverage hospitality and debenture offerings for 6,800 fans.

The new spaces include The Gate, The Union Ale House, The Lock 4, The Lock 5, The Clubhouse, The East Wing and British Airways Rose Garden.

KSS were lead designers and architects for the East Stand development working with Wildfire London on the interior design concept and delivery. Willmott Dixon Interiors was responsible for the fit out.

Each space is used vertically to cater for a variety of events from wine rooms, private dining and a spectacular rooftop bar with open terraces looking out onto the hallowed turf of Twickenham.

Each level is distinctive in its design, from raw to refined materials used throughout the spaces, celebrating and bringing to life the unique aspects of the home of England Rugby. Delivering a truly bespoke destination experience for fans that goes far beyond a simple banqueting space.

A KSS spokesperson confirmed:

We look forward to Mixology19 Awards ceremony at Old Billingsgate, London on 20 June 2019.
