The spectacular results of the US$178m ISM Raceway Project Powered by DC Solar have been revealed. The all-new track features a range of upgrades, improvements and amenities.
The 411 on the new grandstands
Race fans can now benefit from an upgraded seating experience at ISM Raceway, which is a lot more comfortable, shaded and convenient! As recently as the 2018 March NASCAR Weekend, the Grandstand seats at the venue were benches. Those seats have now been upgraded to individual 20″ seats. Better yet, they come equipped with cup holders! The new grandstand also includes individual seating with a combination of 20″ and 21″ seats.
The Edge (Section 166): This inclusive package gives race fans two padded grandstand seats with a table between, in-seat charging station and access to an all-new experience in The INfield for the Lucas Oil 150, Whelen Trusted to Perform 200 and Can-Am 500 race days. Click here to learn more.
Additionally, the new grandstands, and the existing Bobby Allison Grandstand, feature four new escalators and five new elevators (in addition to the five elevators currently in the grandstand) to get fans to their seats more quickly and conveniently. Plus, the grandstands feature new souvenir areas, a new First Aid and EMS location, a new Guest Services area, as well as multiple new restrooms – including ADA restrooms.
UNMATCHED ACCESS: THE INFIELD
The INfield at ISM Raceway has been entirely reworked, starting with how you get there. Fans will now have convenient access from the DC Solar Power Pavilion near the new Start/Finish Line directly to The INfield.
The INfield also now sports five new garages that feature Driver interaction opportunities specially for hardcore fans, so they can watch their favourite Drivers as they work on their cars prior to race activity.
The Pits, the amazing garage access sites, watching your favourite Drivers enter the Driver’s Meeting (and then the opportunity to watch the meeting through glass walls) are all a part of the The INfield. And to sweeten the deal, guests can avail of access to watch Gatorade Victory Lane post-race celebration ceremonies from a fan viewing point.
If all this weren’t enough to ensure fans receive an unreal experience, they can now enjoy new dining areas, including two new concessions sites and a bar. There are also more additions when it comes to spectator and driver safety, including a new AMR Care Centre, added Guest Services and EMS, as well as new fire support and a tyre support structure.
Members of the media will find themselves right at home in the newly constructed Media Centre now too.
A NEW EXPERIENCE: A RECONFIGURED DC SOLAR POWER PAVILION
The DC Solar Power Pavilion, already such a hit with fans, has also received an update and expansion – sporting a better functioning layout. In addition, a new Care Centre, new Bar & Grill and ROLL-BAR, new Corporate Hospitality, new food courts and new Guest Services and Ticketing buildings have been added for fan convenience, safety and enjoyment.
