The sale of Wembley Stadium, the negotiated protections and an outlined plan to invest £600m into football community facilities, were presented and discussed at The FA Board meeting yesterday, Thursday 27 September.
Following on from this discussion, The FA Board has agreed to take the presentation to The FA Council to get its input now that the full facts are known.
England’s National Stadium, the 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium, is run by Wembley National Stadium Limited, a subsidiary of The Football Association (The FA).

Attendees at next month’s ALSD International – Europe’s first Premium Seat event – will be treated to a very special behind-the-scenes tour of Wembley Stadium, the Home of Football, on the opening evening, Wednesday 10th October, sponsored by Delaware North, followed by a tour of The SSE Arena Wembley, sponsored by Levy Restaurants, and a networking reception in the Arena’s brand new Empire Bar & Grill. A large number of representatives from The FA Group, Wembley Stadium and Club Wembley will be in attendance, as well as representatives from The SSE Arena Wembley, Delaware North and Levy Restaurants.
Over 200 representatives from clubs & teams, stadia, arenas & sports venues, architecture & design firms, have confirmed their participation at ALSD International, including AC Milan, AS Roma, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, Fulham FC, Everton FC, Arsenal FC, San Francisco 49ers, STAPLES Center, Wasps Rugby, Saracens RFC, Connacht Rugby, Barclaycard Arena Hamburg, Scottish Event Campus, The O2 London, The O2 Prague, Altice Arena, TAURON Arena, SSE Hydro, Stockholm Live, NEC Arenas, Bristol Sport/Ashton Gate Stadium, Croke Park Stadium, Canadian Football League, Saku Arena, Red Bull Racing, KSS, SCAU, The Sports Consultancy, Ahoy Rotterdam, CAA ICON, Chelsea FC, Madison Square Garden, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment and Ascot Racecourse.
