Profile:

The Venue Manager is responsible for aligning the planning and coordination of preparations for venue-related UEFA projects to be implemented at EURO 2020 venues and manages the EURO 2020 Venue Operations Centre during the tournament phase.

 

Purpose:

– Manages the flow of information between the Venue Management Unit and the venue-related projects and collects their needs with regard to the EURO 2020 stadiums/venues;
– Tracks all project issues and action points communicated to the stadiums;
– Ensures that the stadium checklists are constantly updated as they are the primary source of overlay;
– Ensures that all project-overlay arrangements are incorporated in the technical maps and regularly updated;
– Develops the set-up and dismantling plan in partnership with the venue-related projects;
– Chairs cluster meetings with the venue projects to align their planning and implementation work to achieve the defined gates (objectives/milestones) according to the venue preparation master plan;
– Assists with planning and conducting working visits;
– Contributes to the development and implementation of onsite operations (venue procedures and processes, SOPs, etc.);
– Manages the Venue Operations Centre during the tournament phase;
– Manages his/her Venue Management Coordinator and reports to the Senior Venue Manager;
– Represents the Senior Venue Manager if the need arises.

 

Requirements:

Experience required:
– from 4 to 6 years as a project leader or in the organisation of major events
– from 1 to 3 years in the sports industry

Education:
– Bachelor’s in marketing, sports management or in relation to the event industry

Languages:
– English / Proficient
– French / Intermediate
– Languages in addition to English and French are an asset

Additional requirements:
– Adhering to principles and values
– Team spirit and open-minded
– Experience in an international and multicultural environment
– Willingness to travel
– Experiences at UEFA events and tournaments is an asset
– Budget Management / Advanced
– MS Office / Advanced
– Project Management / Proficient
