Thomond Park Stadium announces EPOS Innovation partnership

KAPPTURE has announced a five-year EPOS innovation partner contract with Thomond Park Stadium, home to Munster Rugby.

This partnership is an especially exciting prospect for both sides. The contract includes the installation of 91 networked EPOS terminals, integrated Card Payment technology, K-Stock Management software and a flexible hosting and support package designed especially for Thomond Park Stadium.

John Cantwell, Stadium Director, Thomond Park Stadium, explained:

We looked at a number of solutions over the past year and decided that KAPPTURE was the right fit for us. They are leading the way in this sector and we were impressed with both the speed of installation for the pilot system [operating in our refurbished bar areas] and the real time sales information available from Match 1.

The project will be delivered within the next 4 weeks by the project services team in Galway and Derby with Go Live for the Munster v Ulster fixture on November 9th.

About Thomond Park Stadium

Thomond Park is the home ground of Munster Rugby, one of the most successful and best supported rugby clubs in the world.

The famous venue, renowned internationally for its unique history and atmosphere, was extensively redeveloped and re-opened in 2008 with an increased capacity of 25,600 plus an extensive range of conference and banqueting facilities that have further enhanced its glowing reputation.

Since that magical reopening night when Munster played the All Blacks witnessed by a national television audience of over one million viewers, Thomond Park has hosted a galaxy of events that has truly established the stadium as a world-class, multi-purpose venue.

From international rugby with Ireland v The Barbarians, the historic staging of two international football matches with the Republic of Ireland, hosting The Special Olympics Opening Ceremony, to concerts with performances by P!NK, Elton John, Rod Stewart and Bob Dylan, the stadium has delivered on its promise to attract the very best in terms of sporting and entertainment experiences.

The increased capacity has also allowed record levels of supporters to attend Munster Rugby matches, and in November 2010, Thomond Park witnessed another historic and memorable occasion when Munster played and triumphed over the touring international Australian team adding yet another heroic landmark to the legendary reputation of the venue.
