The Royal Dublin Society (RDS), Ireland’s largest multi-purpose venue, has reappointed Creative Technology Ireland as its in-house audiovisual partner following a competitive tender process.
The move is part of ongoing investment at the RDS to strengthen its position in the international events market.
Annually, the RDS hosts hundreds of events, exhibitions, conferences and corporate gatherings across its 43-acre Ballsbridge campus, serving as a key hub for Ireland’s business, sporting, and cultural life.
The new five-year agreement between the RDS and Creative Technology Ireland, a leading provider of professional audio visual and technical production services, will enhance the venue’s integrated audiovisual and production capability, supporting increasingly complex large-scale, hybrid and broadcast-quality events.
This year, the RDS is marking the centenary of the Nations Cup, while the new €52 million Laya Arena will be unveiled at the forthcoming Dublin Horse Show.
The revitalised Laya Arena, with a totally redeveloped Anglesea Stand and a capacity of 20,600, will significantly expand the RDS’s ability to host major international sporting events, concerts and conferences.
With premium hospitality suites in the new stand, and the transformation of the adjacent St Mary’s Church into The Grand Hall, it will result in a distinctive and immersive hospitality destination.
The reappointment of Creative Technology Ireland ensures event organisers will continue to benefit from end-to-end production delivery within a single venue, consistency across multiple event spaces and scalable infrastructure for events of all sizes.
As part of the global Creative Technology network, which spans more than 40 locations across 17 countries, the company will also have access to the reach and expertise of an international production and technology network.
The 2026 SVB LIVE Conference & Exhibition – focused on elevating the live experience – is being hosted at Everton FC’s spectacular new Hill Dickinson Stadium on October 1st and 2nd, with an Opening Night Icebreaker at Liverpool FC’s iconic Anfield Stadium on September 30th.
Paul Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of the RDS, said:
“Reappointing Creative Technology Ireland ensures our clients benefit from a best-in-class audiovisual offering delivered by a trusted partner. At a pivotal time for the RDS, this partnership will help elevate event delivery and reinforces our position not only as a premier Irish venue, but as a destination of choice for international events.”
Tony Lanigan, Managing Director, Creative Technology Ireland, said:
“We are delighted to continue our partnership with the RDS at such an exciting time in its development. We look forward to supporting the venue as it continues to strengthen its standing as a world-class destination with a rich and distinguished history.
“The enhanced production capability will enable clients to deliver even more ambitious and impactful events, while further supporting the growth and evolution of Ireland’s live events and corporate gatherings sector. We are proud to build on our long-standing relationship with the RDS and help ensure it continues to host some of the biggest and best events on the island.”
Founded in 1731, the RDS is a philanthropic organisation and one of Ireland’s leading multi-purpose venues, supporting progress across Agriculture, Arts, Enterprise, Equestrianism, and Science & Technology.
