York Stadium Management Company, operators of the LNER Community Stadium – home of York City FC and York RLFC Knights – have renewed with TEAMcard as their Access Control supplier in a new long-term deal.
As a venue hosting a number of resident clubs across multiple sports, as well as regular visitors like Leeds United, it is essential that the venue set-up can be easily adjusted to suit the needs of each individual event.
The flexible back-office event set-up capabilities paired with a full venue of TEAMcard F7 fixed units has given York the solution they require.
Pete Kitchen, Director of Stadium Operations at York SMC, said:
As a multi-tenanted and multi-sport venue, flexibility and reliability of core match-day processes like access control are essential, and TEAMcard have been a fantastic partner in helping us deliver that. We are really pleased to be extending our relationship with TEAMcard, and are excited to continue improving our stadium operations, as well as enhancing the experience for fans who visit our venue.
TEAMcard is a sponsor for the 2024 SVB LIVE Conference & Exhibition, with Ben Phillips, TEAMcard’s Head of Sales & Marketing, joining a panel session focused on “Safety & the Fan Experience”, alongside Claire Harkness, Operations Director, Coventry Building Society Arena.
As a long-term partner, York have been proactively involved in the continuous development of the TEAMcard solution and play a key role alongside all of TEAMcard’s partners in ensuring the wider TEAMcard solution continues to evolve alongside the ever-developing needs to modern sporting venues.
Jenny Haughton, Head of Client Services at TEAMcard, added:
Working with the team at York has been an absolute pleasure. We are extremely pleased to be extending the relationship, and everyone at TEAMcard is excited to continue working with such a great venue and group of people.
