Check out this ‘bird’s eye’ footage of the latest progress on the Kai Tak Sports Park.
To provide a visual perspective of the changes taking place, Kai Tak Sports Park has released new aerial footage captured at various times throughout a day in mid-summer.
The drone footage offers panoramic views of the construction in the early morning, afternoon and evening, allowing viewers to observe the flow of activities across the expanding park facilities.
About Kai Tak Sports Park
Kai Tak Sports Park is a fully integrated sports, leisure and entertainment destination in Hong Kong. The 28-hectare Sports Park will be part of the redevelopment on the site of the old Hong Kong International Airport in Kai Tak.
The Sports Park features a 50,000 seat Main Stadium with a retractable roof, an Indoor Sports Centre with the flexibility to host community sports and events of up to 10,000 seats, and a Public Sports Ground with a capacity of 5,000 seats.
These venues will be complemented with extensive public open spaces for events and leisure together with retail and harbour-front dining spaces.
ALSD International 2023 will take place at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium October 9-10. Optimising revenue through New Builds, Renovations & Service Expansions is the key focus of this industry-leading event, with architecture & design, fan experience, hospitality, premium sales & service, and technology taking centre stage. Project team
Kai Tak Sports Park Ltd (KTSPL) is providing the design, construction and operation of Kai Tak Sports Park, with Hip Hing Engineering responsible for the construction. KTSPL is a subsidiary of New World Development Company Limited and NWS Holdings Limited, and is established specifically for the Kai Tak Sports Park project.
KTSPL’s project team comprises overseas and local experts experienced in design, construction, venue management, sales and marketing, and retail and operation.
Project team members, ASM Global, Populous and SPORTFIVE are recognised global industry leaders with extensive experience in the design and operation of large scale international projects, as well as the management of major sports venues.
ARUP is providing total engineering design services including specialist services. Simon Kwan & Associated Limited is the Executive Architect and Authorised Person. ADI is the landscape designer.
