In this latest interview, we hear from Jeff Spoerndle, Vice President at BEST Crowd Management, a GardaWorld company, as he takes on the evolution of sport venue/complex and event security.
With all the talk about what’s temporary/permanent in terms of COVID-related adaptations and changes, especially with regards to sporting events and specifically crowd management and security, Jeff tells us what he thinks is here to stay.
Looking back on a year of pandemic-enforced shutdowns, he analyses what sports facilities and teams are facing moving forward and discusses how crowd/facility management has changed over the last year.
Jeff also outlines what he’s seeing and hearing from facilities and teams across the U.S. when it comes to fans and staff returning to stadia. He also discusses how BEST Crowd Management is planning on balancing security, public health and the customer/guest experience.
He then goes on to give his take on the outlook for the sporting events industry and the increasing role security will play as we return to normal, following his conversations with industry leaders.
Finally, putting COVID aside for one minute, Jeff talks about the top challenges for sports venue/event security moving forward.
