Cosm, a leading company in immersive technology and entertainment, has chosen Detroit as the home of its fourth experiential entertainment venue.
The company has introduced a completely new way for fans to experience live sports, immersive art, and entertainment through Shared Reality—an experience that bridges virtual and physical worlds by merging state-of-the-art visuals with crowd energy and world-class hospitality.
Cosm’s first two venues are located in Los Angeles and Dallas, with a third underway in Atlanta.
The Detroit venue, in partnership with Bedrock, is another investment in the long-term revitalisation of downtown Detroit.
The 2024 SVB LIVE Conference & Exhibition – hosted at Croke Park Stadium and having welcomed 240 high-level executives – focuses on elevating the live experience through architecture & design, customer journey, fan & VIP experience, hospitality & fit-out, premium sales & service, sustainability, technology and venue commercialisation.
Detroit-based ROSSETTI will head up the design of the venue.
A spokesman for ROSSETTI said:
ROSSETTI is not only thrilled that this venue is coming to our city, but we are also excited to merge our expertise in sports and entertainment design with our first-hand knowledge of what makes Detroit unique.
Partnering with Cosm and Bedrock, our involvement in this venue supports our commitment to strengthening local culture and economic vitality.
From macro to micro, we will integrate Cosm’s innovative features with elements that honor Detroit’s cultural legacy.
Like its other venues, Cosm Detroit will showcase world-class design and proprietary technology, including a 26.6-metre, 12K LED dome and an adjacent high-resolution LED wall similar to the 150-foot-long display at the Los Angeles location.
Cosm Detroit’s programming will feature a range of live sports offerings, expanding through official partnerships with UFC, the NBA, NBC Sports, TNT Sports, FOX Sports, the NFL, and more, allowing fans to experience their favourite sports, teams, and events from around the world in Shared Reality.
In addition to live sports, Cosm will also showcase productions from Cirque du Soleil, with additional creators and studios joining the program in the future.
