Crawford Architects selected for redevelopment and revitalisation of Aloha Stadium

Crawford Architects has been selected to lead a multi-disciplined team planning for a new stadium and site redevelopment of the entire 100-acre + Aloha Stadium site in Honolulu.

Stacey Jones, Crawford Architects’ Senior Principal, said of the appointment:

Aloha Stadium, which opened in 1975, is Hawaii’s largest outdoor facility, home to the University of Hawaii’s (UH) Rainbow Warriors football team and former host of the NFL Pro Bowl. The 50,000-seat stadium – pictured above in its current condition – can be configured to offer multiple seating arrangements and field formations that allowed football, soccer and baseball.

Crawford Architects – an award-winning, international planning, architecture and interior design firm – will lead an international team of partners to transform the stadium and surrounding area into a vibrant sports and entertainment district that will be anchored by the new Aloha Stadium and transportation development.

Jones added:
