Speaking about the upcoming ESSMA-BASIS Smart & Sustainable Stadium Workshop, John Beattie, ESSMA President and Stadium & Facilities Director at Arsenal FC’s Emirates Stadium, said:

Sustainability bears an important role in the future of our stadiums. It’s something we can’t overlook today and actively need to work on. Sustainability needs to be a core business objective, tailored to all stakeholders. Through our partnership with BASIS, we are sure to improve our know-how in this field and feel confident to be of service for our members who will surely benefit from it.

Industry colleague and ESSMA member Jürgen Muth, Allianz Arena CEO, said:

The ESSMA community and events enable me to get in touch with colleagues, both in Europe and abroad. ESSMA, as a knowledge platform, gathers and shares the relevant content towards the members, improving the overall knowledge on stadium management.

Ioannis Dimogiannis – Stadium & Facilities Manager Paok FC, added:

It’s great to take in the knowledge of what other stadiums and clubs do to improve their facilities. We changed knowledge and details with all the people we met. It’s completely what I had expected from a platform like ESSMA and I’m looking forward to the next workshop.
