Qudos Bank Arena has partnered with Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) to construct a 12-display centrehung LED video display system – the largest in the southern hemisphere – using 180 portable LED panels for the eight main displays that can be taken down and used in any configuration for any of the multiple events hosted by the facility in Sydney, Australia.
The four largest displays each measure 4.76m-high by 8.88m-wide, and the four displays at the corners of the configuration in between the main displays each measure 4.76m-high by 2.54m-wide. These displays feature 6mm line spacing to provide excellent image clarity and contrast to bring a great view to every seat within the arena.
The displays are capable of variable content zoning, which allows each to show one large image or each can be divided into multiple zones to show any variety of live video, instant replays, game statistics, graphics, sponsorship messages and other event information.

The centrehung system includes an upper ring display measuring 0.63m-high by 55.79m around and a lower ring display measuring 0.63m-high by 38.04m around. Both ring displays feature 10mm line spacing and can show complementary information to what is being shown on the main displays.
On the underbelly of the centrehung, two displays measuring 1.90m-high by 3.49m-wide and featuring 6mm line spacing will be angled towards the sides of the arena to appeal to the seats closer to the action.
Additionally, the arena received four digital scorer’s tables to place in any configuration along the side of the playing area. Each of these displays measures 0.63m-high by 2.22m-wide and features 6mm line spacing to show additional graphics, statistics and sponsorship messages throughout events.

Qudos Bank Arena, home to the NBL’s Sydney Kings
Qudos Bank Arena, Australia’s premier entertainment venue located in Sydney’s Olympic Park precinct, became the official home of the National Basketball League’s Sydney Kings back in October.
In February 2016, AEG Ogden acquired ownership of the Sydney Kings. With AEG Ogden also managing Qudos Bank Arena, it was the logical choice that the team become an anchor tenant.
