ALSD International: Bringing the industry back together

With the UK government having confirmed that mass participation events, including conferences and sports, can recommence as of October 1, ALSD International is set to be the first industry event back. The physical edition – being held in the recently redeveloped Main Stand of Liverpool FC’s Anfield Stadium – will be fully virtualised, ensuring a high level of interactivity for both in-person and remote attendees.

With the English Premier League (EPL) 2020/21 season’s fixtures now confirmed, the October 12-13 dates for the 2020 edition of ALSD International – Europe’s leading event for the Premium Seat & Sports Hospitality sector – fall at an opportune time, with the Premier League taking a break between the October 3 and October 17 games.

Over the course of the two days, high-level executives from clubs & teams, stadia & arenas, sports & live entertainment venues, leagues & federations, architecture & design firms, producers & suppliers, will be provided with a much-needed and long-awaited opportunity to come together (physically and virtually) to discuss not only how to increase revenue through new builds, renovations, service expansions and the latest technology, but also how to reopen safely and successfully, taking heed of the lessons learned over the course of the last six months.

Just as the industry has had to evolve, so has the conference and events sector, with ALSD International 2020 to be a ‘hybrid’ affair, welcoming both physical and virtual attendees.

The two-day event will feature the usual high-level conference, exhibition hall showcasing the latest products, services and solutions, numerous networking events and special behind-the-scenes tours of Anfield, Everton’s Goodison Park and M&S Bank Arena Liverpool, but now be complemented by an industry-leading, innovative, virtualisation platform, which will ensure that both in-person and remote-access attendees are catered for, from the streaming of conference sessions to virtual networking lounges and Organisers TV running programming specifically tailored to attendees needs.

The comprehensive conference programme will cover a wide range of industry-specific topics, including:

As a new-normal event benefitting from both physical and virtual elements, attendees will be assured of not only optimised opportunities to knowledge-share, network and do business over the course of the two days, but now long after the physical event’s conclusion, with the microsite to offer a wealth of information, all available at the touch of a button.
