Former Saracens Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer joins SecuTix

SecuTix UK and Ireland has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Andy Duckworth. A respected and highly-experienced figure in the sports and entertainment sectors, Duckworth will be responsible for leading business development as the company looks to continue its growth in the market.

Duckworth was at Saracens Rugby Club for six years, where his last role was Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer. He was responsible for the strategic direction and development of the Saracens commercial and marketing programme. During this time, he doubled attendance revenue and oversaw a 130% increase in season ticket holders.

Duckworth has also held senior marketing and commercial roles at Diageo, Top Golf and Luminar Leisure.

Commenting on his appointment, Duckworth said:

As a client of SecuTix when I was at Saracens, I was impressed by the team’s ambition to create consumer-driven strategies and deliver transformational results. My focus will be on creating long-term, strategic partnerships with our clients. Using the latest technological innovations, I’m looking forward to helping clients improve engagement levels with their ticket holders and transform the overall fan experience.

David Hornby, Managing Director of SecuTix UK and Ireland, added:

Andy brings with him a wealth of customer experience. Having worked client-side, his first-hand knowledge of our customers’ needs will play a key role in building upon our sustained growth in the UK and Ireland.

In the last year, SecuTix has added to our portfolio of products with the launch of TIXnGO  and the acquisition of Oxynade, sitting alongside our existing SecuTix 360° platform. This is opening up new opportunities for us across the UK, Europe and the USA and so I’m thrilled to add this calibre of talent to our team.
