Motorpoint Arena Nottingham invests in new technology to enhance fan experience

Music lovers and sports fans will now be able to pre-order merchandise from their phones – including before the show and from their seats – with the launch of Motorpoint Arena Nottingham’s new smartphone app.

The app will also allow customers to pre-order food and drink once they are in the venue for selected events and be notified when their order is ready to collect.

Available to download on both Apple and Android mobile devices, the app is the latest investment by the popular Nottingham venue, allowing guests to get the most out of their visits – whether it be for a concert, comedy show or ice hockey match.

The new app is powered by entertainment technology specialists LiveStyled and includes a host of features. Attendees will have the ability to browse upcoming events and save favourites, receive the latest news and updates, and take selfies with limited edition frames and filters, which can then be shared on the platform.

The biggest benefit to those who download the app will be receiving push notifications when their food and drink order is ready. Whether they order from their seat or in and around the venue, after browsing the menus, choosing and paying for their items from their mobile, they will then receive a pop-up when it is ready to collect (customers must have push notifications enabled).

They can then beat the queues and collect their food and drink from designated ‘speedy’ app lanes around the concourse.

As well as taking advantage of the many food and drink varieties on offer, app users can browse the merchandise available ahead of each upcoming show and order from home – meaning they can collect and wear their new band T-shirt or hoodie with pride for each gig.

The Motorpoint Arena Nottingham smartphone app is available to download now for free from the Apple Store and Google Play. It went ‘live’ on Monday, when Olly Murs took to the stage for the first of two shows. It will be in-use for a limited number of events at the Arena.

Martin Ingham, Chief Executive at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham, said:

The app is the essential digital companion for those visiting our venue. It will not only enhance their experience during their visit, allowing them to pre-pay for food, drink and merchandise even before they arrive, but it will provide them with a free and easy platform where they can access the latest news and information at the touch of a button.

We are continually looking for new and exciting ways to better our visitor experience, and we’re excited to launch the app as the latest advancement to the venue.

LiveStyled CEO, Adam Goodyer, added:

It is a pleasure to be working with the fantastic team at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham. It’s a premier UK venue and I’m thrilled that they share our vision for pioneering new technology to create a better visitor experience.”
