LAFC releases upgraded mobile App experience in time for Banc of California Stadium opening

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) and Venuetize announced an upgrade to the LAFC mobile app experience, aptly timed in conjunction with the opening of their new home in the heart of Los Angeles, Banc of California Stadium.

The new version of the app, developed by Venuetize, incorporates a range of new premium features designed to improve fans’ experience every time they visit the stadium.

Banc of California Stadium was built to deliver unprecedented connectivity, and the upgraded LAFC Mobile App, is designed to offer an easy way for fans and supporters to interact and personalise their fan experience with the stadium and Club, directly from their mobile device.

The app is available for download on iPhone and Android devices.

LAFC EVP and Chief Business Officer, Larry Freedman, said:

We have taken a mobile-first approach to every aspect of building our Club and stadium. Our goal has always been to focus on enhancing our fan and Supporter experience, and with Venuetize we have built an app that ensures each fan will have a personalized, interactive experience with the Club and Banc of California Stadium.

With new features like mobile ticketing, a sophisticated mobile wallet and an AI-powered chatbot named ‘Otto’, LAFC fans and supporters will be able to use their mobile device to make their gameday experience at Banc of California Stadium easier, more personal and enjoyable.

Mobile ticketing makes it easy for fans to remember and scan their event tickets, while the mobile wallet allows fans to use their own credit and debit cards to make any type of purchase – from food and beverages to souvenirs.

In addition, detailed stadium maps and the ability to ask the app questions make it easy for anyone to find points of interest, their favorite refreshments, or other information about the venue and the Club. The app also makes it easy for fans to access information on their smartphones about the team schedule, roster, and bios.

Karri Zaremba, Co-Founder & COO of Venuetize, said:

It’s been exciting to work with LAFC from the very beginning stages to help build a smart stadium. With sophisticated infrastructure and a future-looking app that makes it easy for LAFC supporters to interact with the space, the Club has delivered a truly fan-driven experience.

We’re also delighted to be able to advise that SVB VIP/Sponsor, SKIDATA, now has their access control systems in action at LAFC’s new Banc of California Stadium.

The new SKIDATA access control installation at Banc of California Stadium (pictured above) is unique in that the turnstiles are lithium battery powered and the readers are Wi-Fi ready, so no cables are needed to drive the system!
