Club Wembley officially opens the doors to the One Twenty Club
The new and exclusive members’ club within Club Wembley, the One Twenty Club, at England’s National Stadium opened its doors for the first time on Sunday for the FA Community Shield between Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC.
One Twenty is a bespoke club designed by world-renowned sports architecture and design practice, KSS, and tailored for limited members’ delivering a new benchmark in football hospitality.
The One Twenty experience kicks-off in the arrival space where guests pass through a sculptural oversized angular canopy providing the perfect entry point for members to enjoy. Ascending an illuminated staircase past a double storey smoked oak panelled wall, guests are greeted by a visually stimulating array of colours and features in the lounge. The unique spaces create intimate areas and group networking opportunities where guests can relax amongst contrasts of light and dark with a bold tapestry of furniture and a quirky use of materials. The panelled feature wall is the stunning central backdrop to the lounge area and includes a recessed ‘snug’ banquette, deep pile upholstery with recessed bookshelves where guests can browse the famous Wembley archives.
The lounge has been designed to be ‘evolutionary’, with smaller furniture clusters and chairs that swivel for guests to define their audience, privacy and sculpt their own experience. Dense tones of mustard, purple and turquoise colours are used throughout the spaces in an exploration of the visual senses.
The bar area is the stand out feature for its scale and presence, with a spectacular brass chandelier that floats up to the exposed panelled petrol ceiling. The restaurant ceiling lattice break the traditional grid system, by re-defining a new patchwork pattern that adds originality to the environment. The energy of the game is injected with line work that rushes across the ceiling playing with the sense of movement on the football pitch.
Refurbished by Portview Fit-Out, One Twenty is the finest offering from Club Wembley delivering a unique concept unseen in sport providing the next era of luxury and subtle extravagance.
