MiLB’s OKC Dodgers announce extensive Diamond Lounge renovation
As Minor League Baseball’s Oklahoma City Dodgers embark on the team’s 20th year at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, the team has announced extensive renovations to the Diamond Lounge and Club Level seating area for the 2017 season.
Located on the second level of the ballpark, the Diamond Lounge will virtually double in size, expanding from approximately 2,500sqft to 5,000sqft. The project will include removing three suites from behind home plate in order to offer an unencumbered view of the playing field directly from the Lounge.
OKC Dodgers President/General Manager Michael Byrnes, said:
Although we are fortunate to have one of the best facilities in Minor League Baseball, we are always striving to find ways to make it better. These renovations will allow us to modernize a key part of the ballpark and enhance the experience for our fans.
In addition to the physical expansion, the new Diamond Lounge will be outfitted with all new furniture and décor. The new configuration will be flooded with natural light, giving the area an entirely different feel and look. There will also be a staircase installed in the Lounge to provide easier access for suite and ticket holders on the Suite Level (third level).
The estimated cost of the project will be approximately US$750,000, which is to be funded by the facility fee included in all event tickets put in place by an agreement between the City of Oklahoma City and the Dodgers two years ago to help maintain and improve the city’s venues, as Byrnes advised:
This isn’t possible without the tremendous support from our city’s leaders. The City of Oklahoma City is dedicated to consistently improving our facility, through the Budweiser Deck and 4Topps seating in 2015, the new center field video board this year, and now the Diamond Lounge project.

Diamond Lounge access and Club Membership ticket packages have sold out for five straight years, but the newly renovated Lounge will result in wider access. Club Membership ticket packages include access to a pre-game buffet and unlimited in-seat food and beverage service during the game.
