KSS confirms as Exhibiting Sponsor for ALSD International

ALSD International, organised by Sports Venue Business in conjunction with the Association of Luxury Suite Directors, are excited to announce that KSS will be an exhibiting sponsor at the next edition, being hosted by Liverpool Football Club at Anfield Stadium, with Andy Simons, Director, and Debbie Power, Associate Director, to share insights.

KSS will be part of ALSD International for a third year running and they look forward to the special behind-the-scenes tour of their award-winning Main Stand Development at the iconic Anfield Stadium; host venue for the third edition of Europe’s leading event for the Premium Seat and Sports Hospitality sector.

KSS have a long history with the current Premier League champions dating back to 2012 when they started work on the Anfield Stadium Expansion. The Main Stand opened to widespread acclaim in September 2016, with the capacity of the expanded stand increasing from 12,200 to over 20,500 seats, making it the largest single stand in the country.

During the next hybrid edition of ALSD International, attendees – both physical and remote – will be able to take a behind-the-scenes tour of Anfield, and see firsthand KSS’ concourses, which have set a new standard in terms of design, facilities and comfort. The tour will also include a look at the extensive hospitality facilities spread over three levels, with each suite offering a unique character to match the level of offer.

The 2,000 capacity Carlsberg Dugout spanning the length of the stand has been a particularly popular facility amongst Liverpool supporters since 2016 and is one of the largest of its kind in the country. It includes three long bars, live cooking food stalls, live music and bands, lounge seating areas and table football in a relaxed and informal environment for fans wanting the next step up from general admission with all the excitement of the match day atmosphere.

KSS’ latest project with Liverpool FC is set to complete later this year and will be a state-of-the-art training centre bringing together the club’s Premier League winning first team and under-23 squads academy operations together on one site to create a new elite training campus.

The architecture and design practice have also been working on several other high-profile sports projects including AFC Wimbledon’s emotional return to Plough Lane Stadium, set to complete next month, Leicester City FC’s new Training Centre, Crystal Palace FC’s Category One status Academy and the reconfiguration of the London Stadium delivering two new lower tier stands behind the goals for West Ham United FC.

Internationally, KSS have just completed the Concept Design stage for a new Baltic Sports Village in Riga, Latvia.

The new Sports Village is part of a multi-phased development which includes a full-size indoor pitch with 1,000-seat spectator capacity, UEFA Category 2 Stadium, hotel and spa. The site is also a base for community football with significant provision for the strong youth programme, with changing suites and dedicated pitches.

The Sports Village proposals include a new state-of-the-art fitness, recovery and rehabilitation facilities, including external playing pitches, skills areas and dedicated goalkeeper training. Riga FC will use the facilities as a training base for the First Team and Academy boys.

Speaking about welcoming KSS back as an exhibiting sponsor, ALSD International Executive Director and Sports Venue Business CEO, Katie McIntyre, confirmed:

Everyone at ALSD International is delighted to have KSS back again for the ALSD International conference now taking place at Anfield in March. All attendees will be extremely interested to hear about KSS’ sports stadia, training centre and arena work over the past year, and the insights on the trends they have been witnessing across sports stadia and design worldwide.
