Part I – Review of stadia-focused sessions at Soccerex

Attendees at this week’s Soccerex Global Convention – hosted at Manchester Central in Manchester, England – heard from a host of industry professionals on some of the latest hot topics and solutions affecting the business of designing, building, managing and operating sports venues. Speakers included Francis Casado, Head of Business Development at Ticketing3D/Mobile Media Content (MMC); Atlético de Madrid’s Managing Director, Global Business Development, Javier Martinez; Athletic Club Bilbao’s Stadium Business Manager, Borja Gonzalez; Ruben Reddy, owner of Ruben Reddy Architects; and Lisa Knights, Communications Director, Bristol Sport, which recently completed a two-year redevelopment of its Ashton Gate Stadium.

 

 

In the session entitled ‘Remodelling or Building a New Stadium: How to Manage Fan Expectations’, Francis Casado, Head of Business Development at Ticketing3D/MMC and their client, Atlético de Madrid’s Managing Director, Global Business Development, Javier Martinez.

During the presentation, the pair highlighted how MMC’s 3D Digital Venue Solution has been assisting the Club as they prepare to move from Vicente Calderón Stadium to their new ‘home’ ground; Estadio La Peineta, officially known as Estadio Olímpico de Madrid, for the 2017/18 season.
